Whitley Bay Comrades Club

Whitley Bay Comrades Club is situated on the sea front facing The Links and St Mary’s Lighthouse. The Club came in to existence in 1920 and has Members from the local communities and also from as far away as Slovakia, Norway and Dubai. The Club has  four rooms of which two are lounges and two are snooker rooms. Downstairs Percy Lounge containing our main bar and doubles up also as a Function Room with a capacity of 70 guests. Northumbria Lounge containing a small bar and TV and has Disabled/Ladies Toilet facilities; the room also has seating for 25 to 30 guests. Upstairs East and West snooker rooms containing full size championship snooker tables with first class well-equipped facilities.
