Gulshan Indian Restaurant

Gulshan is the proud creation of Mr Rahman and his two sons, Mamun and Suffian. Between them they have over 45 years experience in the restaurant catering industry. Having still running a successful restaurant in Whitley Bay called Takdir for 36 years, the opportunity came along to expand into the beautiful picturesque village of Tynemouth in late 2014. Gulshan opened its doors in February 2015 after a full renovation on the old Sonnys Italia site. Gulshan is the perfect blend of old and new with a modern and elegant touch. With its beautifully decorated interior decor, no stone has been left unturned, no corners cut and no expense spared. Elegance and opulence come to mind as soon as you walk through the door. Gulshan has so much to offer to the culinary experience and gives diners an array of contemporary Indian and Bangladeshi dishes to devour in truly beautiful surroundings. The menu at Gulshan is traditional yet modern at the same time, with dishes from most regions of India and Bangladesh. The menu comprises of all the traditional dishes such as the nations favourite… Chicken Tikka Mossala, Madras, Bhuna and Korma to name a few. We also have our modern day Indian dishes in our very own Signature collection exclusive to Gulshan. Come and try out mouthwatering Chicken or Lamb Handi Staff Curry dish only available at Gulshan. We also have Gulshan Dopiaza and King Prawn Naga. All of these dishes are bursting with flavour, made by our highly skilled chefs with years of experience using only the freshest herbs, finest spices and locally sourced ingredients where possible. Our latest menu will be bringing back some old school memorable favourites such as Mullagatwany Soup & Sheek Kebab Roll to Murgh Kashmiri & Chicken Fruit Malayan. We will also be introducing you all with some spectacular new flavours from street style Samosa Chaat & Paneer Fries with homemade Chilli Jam to Pan seared Swordfish Steak & Red Spinach Lamb Chops. Gulshan is located in the village of Tynemouth and a stones throw away from the mouth of the Tyne River on the North East coast of England. Tynemouth has stunning beautiful clean beaches like Longsands and King Edwards Bay. Prominent on the headland overlooking the river is the Tynemouth Priory and Castle, dating back to the 11th century. The village itself is part of the English Heritage and is now a conservation area.
