Bike4Health CIC

Bike 4 Health was established in 2014 as a Community Interest Company. Since then, we’ve positively impacted over 4000 children in 27 schools throughout the North East through our cycling programmes. In recent years, our work has spread out into the broader community via the schools to families and friends, corporate organisations and youth groups. In 2018 we gained the support of The National Lottery through the BIG Lottery Fund. Their support enabled us to establish a functional base for our activities. We have developed and grown our capacity and have recently moved to new premises. This new base at in Benton, North Tyneside, across the road from The Rising Sun Country Park marks the start of the next phase of growth for Bike4Health. Our new base massively upgrades our facilities at our workshop and enables us to deliver servicing and maintenance to more people and more bikes. It will also allow us to develop our training offer to individuals and groups who are interested in bikes and bike maintenance alongside a more spacious and welcoming venue to support our cycling activities in schools across North Tyneside and beyond.
