Catherine has 17 years experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, having worked in both NHS and private settings. In the summer of 2012, Catherine was selected to work as a host physiotherapist at the London 2012 Olympic Games, with the Gymnastics and Trampolining. Since then she has been involved as a lead physio with the Gymnastics at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 and spent 2 weeks working at the 1st European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan, in the summer of 2015.
Catherine also has experience working with Northumberland County Rugby, a National 1 men’s rugby side, the Newcastle Eagles Basketball team and the Irish Netball team.
As well as sports injuries, Catherine is interested in working with a wide range of techniques to help people with postural problems, work-related injuries, and a wide variety of conditions including back and neck pain, headaches/migraine and joint pain/ stiffness.
Catherine's interest in rugby started during her time studying at Loughborough University and she later went on to play for the Scotland women's team. She has also had a life long interest in athletics and hopes to get her discus out again in the not too distant future!
